I rarely post tear sheets but here are 2 of the the final (well almost final) from the Halloween photography that I did for Frito Lay.  It is fun to see them composited all together.  We built sets in the studio and had costumes made and sourced from all over the country. A great concept, an amazing and very talented crew plus great character actors made it all happen.  It was really a fun shoot. Happy Halloween everyone!

Recently I was hired by Black Enterprise Magazine to make this picture of Benny Black.  Benny’s company, Platinum Motor Cars, leases high end vehicles. It’s funny in this business, when I received the call about the job, I didn’t know who they were hiring me to photograph.  Just happens Benny is a friend of mine.  I was thrilled to photograph him – a lot of good times and laughing on set. You can read the whole article and see the other images we made in this month’s issue.

A few months ago I was hired to shoot a promotion for Frito Lay for Halloween.  It was a great project with an amazing crew. The talent, costuming, sets, hair and make-up, were incredible. This guy is part of the “Pirate Band”  and he has has his own custom banjo made to look like a skeleton.  We were excited about Halloween when we photographed the job  – now that Halloween is this weekend, we can’t wait! I’ll be posting “scary” photos all week in anticipation.

I made this image yesterday.  Yesterday, October 20,2010.  It was 82 perfect degrees.  Curiously, it has been this way for about three weeks now. Practically perfect.

I am working on a black & white campaign this week and I recently pulled some images out of archive to put together as an inspiration board for the client.  I shot these “album covers” as an advertising campaign a few years back for Blue Cat Blues in Deep Ellum.  Although the images work as stand alone pieces, I have always loved the copy.  The campaign was so successful it was featured in Archive Magazine.
