Arizona … that’s right, Surprise, Arizona.  Spring training for the Texas Rangers.  Hope everyone’s weekend is a home run!

I just love the bistros in Paris.  The waiters dress up – no name tags, no “flare”,  just pure class.  Today we are headed to lunch to discuss a very exciting project that we will be shooting across the next few months.  I just wish we were sitting in a bistro in Paris.

First one to guess correctly where this image was made gets their pick from our fabulous TOM HUSSEY swag closet (and no telling what else Tom will send as a bonus!)  Don’t you just love Wacky Wednesday?

Tom was asked to participate in an exhibition in Dallas featuring images that he made in and around The Dallas Arts District.  The Nasher Sculpture Center owns a stunning sculpture, Walking to the Sky by Jonathan Borofsky.  It has become a fixture in the Arts District because you do not have to be in the sculpture garden to view it.  It can be seen from the sidewalk and from buildings with a view of the museum.  A real icon in the area.   We were told that the sculpture is being taken down for a year or so for “maintenance”.   We will miss it and look forward to it’s return.  In the meantime, we are glad to have made the photograph.

As baseball season approaches, I remembered an image I made last Summer.  I wanted to photograph something that captured the essence of youth baseball, something with an all American feel.  I found a baseball facility where in the summertime baseball is played almost 12 hours a day, seven days a week.  It was a hot August day and the sun was starting to set.  I like the grittiness of this particular image and the flare from the sun which helps to capture the dust flying as everyone is in motion.

We are SO proud to have won a GOLD ADDY last night.  We are honored to work with amazing creatives and such a fabulous client.  It’s times like this when you hear people say, “I couldn’t have done it alone”.  We not only have been saying it, we mean it … so here is a shout out to the key people involved … Joe Sacaridiz, Brian Evans, Mitch Tepper, Frank Caltibiano, Bridget Perez, Lane Wilson, the photography crew and cast, the locations and caterers.  Thank you everyone!  Now on to Regionals.

The image above is one in the series.  The other images can be seen on the website.

Today is a great day to get out and do something wild.  The snow has melted, and we are ready to enjoy the sunshine.  Tom is shooting on location outdoors today — bring on the fun!

Last week while the snow was pounding Dallas, Tom and his crew were in Ft. Myers, FL photographing two time World Series Champion Kevin Youkilis for Nantuckett Nectars.

At the end of the shoot, the whole crew had become Red Sox fans and Kevin became a fan of TOM HUSSEY Photography. Fun times – we love our “job”.

What a way to inspire creativity.  We actually saw this office while we were shooting in Ft. Myers, FL.  Believe it of not, it was a “corner” office looking out onto the street.  Even though it’s Monday, look around and maybe you should be happy to be in your “office”.
