This is our new friend Ryan that we met in Lafayette, Louisiana. I was asked to speak at a Advertising Federation Luncheon and judge the ADDY show there a few weeks ago. I can’t say enough good things about the hospitality, food and people in Lafayette. And Ryan? He made it a party every place he went.
When I am busy working on jobs that I have been hired to shoot, I get completely absorbed in the process. This week I was out location scouting with my producer for an upcoming shoot and decided that while I was scouting, I was going to make pictures of at least one person that I met at every location (and there are a lot of locations for this job!). I always carry a camera of some kind with me every place I go. Photographing someone or something everyday is not new. It’s basic. It’s creative. I am getting back to the basics.
This image is from recent promo book that I put together called “Let’s Play”. I spent a fun afternoon with an amazing group of girls. They were creative, fun, and we all laughed a lot. We bound the books with silly bands, just to tie it all together. Pun intended.
I have posted all of the images from the book over on my gallery on Behance, www.behance.net/gallery/Lets-Play/2913787. If you don’t know Behance, check it out. It’s a great place to see what creatives are doing.
Landing in Salt Lake City, Utah. More shadow play. Winter is a great time to capture shadows. You have a more even color pallet in nature acting as a canvas to capture shadows. I feel a shadow, at times, can tell more of a story than the object or person may be able to tell.
